I’m happy to answer questions about my editing services, availability, and booking. For fairness to my clients, I’m unable to provide personalized writing or craft feedback via email. Messages unrelated to my services may not receive a response.

What Happens Next?

When you reach out, please share the following project details:

  • Project title
  • Genre
  • Approximate word count
  • A brief synopsis or summary
  • First 5-10 pages of your manuscript. Must be a Word document or Google Docs document (if Google Doc, make sure editing is enabled).
If inquiring about a sample edit, please do not send more than 1,500 words. For all other inquiries, please send your first 5-10 pages.

Waitlist & Scheduling Policy

All editing is scheduled in limited, dedicated windows to ensure each manuscript receives focused, uninterrupted attention.

If my current editing calendar is full, qualified projects may be placed on a waitlist. Placement on the waitlist confirms that we’ve agreed to work together, but does not guarantee an immediate start date. 

Projects on the priority waitlist are offered openings on a first-available basis as editing windows open. Priority placement requires a booking deposit of 25% of the project price, which secures your position.

When a slot becomes available, clients will be notified by email and given 48 hours to confirm their slot before the opening is offered to another client’s project.

If your timeline is flexible, you may also choose to book the next confirmed opening rather than joining the waitlist.

How Payments Works

Editing fees are split into two or three installments. A 25% deposit is required to reserve your spot. If your edit is scheduled to start right away, the first payment is 50%, with the remaining balance due once the project is completed.

After reviewing your inquiry, I’ll follow up within 3–5 business days to confirm fit and discuss next steps. This may include scheduling a consultation, outlining timelines, and reviewing pricing or payment plan options.

The goal is to keep expectations clear, reduce pressure at the inquiry stage, and ensure the contact page matches the email-based workflow.
